In McCosh Hall, the Department of English maintains two libraries: the Thorp Library, which is adjacent to the main office and offers a casual meeting-place over coffee for students and faculty during the day, and, in the basement, the Hinds Library, the department's reading room and lounge.

This library is not part of the Princeton University Library system.
