Art & Architecture Archive: Archive of magazines comprising key research material in the fields of art & architecture, dating from the late-19th century to the 21st.

ARTstor: Digital library of more than one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.

Avery Index: Indexes journal articles published worldwide on architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation, from 1930s to the present.

Building Types Online: Compiled from several Birkhauser publications, including Detail magazine, the database includes roughly 5,000 high-quality drawings of modern architecture, organized by program type, with images available as downloadable PDFs.

Detail: Inspiration: With images and project descriptions derived from more than 30 years of Detail publications, Detail: Inspiration is a great place to browse and search for project precedents and typology studies in a scholarly environment. 

MaterialConnexion: Database with over 1500 records for current industrial manufacturing products, processes, and processed raw materials.

SimplyAnalytics: Online mapping tool for US demographic data. It enables the creation of maps that incorporate data such as population, age, race, income, employment, and education. All of the data can be downloaded and brought into GIS software.

Urban Studies Abstracts: Database of articles on urban history, community development, urban affairs, etc., from 1973 to the present.

Architecture and Architects on Film 

Pidgeon Digital: Online version of the Pidgeon Audiovisual collection of recorded and illustrated talks by architects and related designers, with talks dating from 1955 to the present.

Art and Architecture in Video: A subsection of Academic Video Online, this resource contains a variety of video material including documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, demonstrations, and raw footage. 

Kanopy Streaming Video: Filter by The Arts > Architecture to access 340+ high-quality films on contemporary architecture and architects, grouped by topics and geographic regions. 

DVDs in physical format on the subjects of Architecture and Architects are also available. Numerous streaming videos from the above resources are also included in the library's main catalog, but refer to the databses directly for each full collection.
