Dixon Collection and Travel Books Collection

The Dixon Collection, housed in the Thomas-Graham Reading Room, which is located in the east end of the first floor of Firestone Library, contains new fiction and popular non-fiction books perfect for leisure reading. Titles circulate for 4 weeks and can be renewed. There is a complementary Dixon eBooks collection of ebook and audiobook titles available for downloading or streaming on your own device or reading online. The Dixon Fund, which supports both the print and ebook collections, was given in the memory of William Boulton Dixon, 1915, so that Princeton students of all generations would have ready access to works illustrative of contemporary life and thought.

Travel Guides

Firestone's Travel Guides collection is part of the popular Dixon Leisure Reading Collection and offers current Lonely Planet and Rough Guides travel titles to all areas covered by both publishers. The collection has its own discrete shelving section in Firestone Library, also located in the Thomas-Graham Reading Room (east end of the first floor just outside the Dulles Reading Room), and is organized alphabetically according to place or destination.  The guides may also be found through the Catalog and each title circulates for a four-week period.
