Darwin Scott

Mendel Music Librarian

After a long career at Brandeis (Creative Arts Librarian) and UCLA (music library), Darwin Scott became our Music Librarian in 2009. With a PhD in Musicology and an MLS (UCLA), he is active in the American Musicological Society and the Music Library Association. His scholarly interests include medieval and Renaissance music, performance practice, music publishing 1500-1800, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary studies; he plays the oboe, recorder, crumhorn, and piano.
