About the Presenters
Edward M. Corrado is the Systems Librarian at The College of New Jersey. He has written articles and has presented at various library conferences on social software, open source software and other library technologies. Edward is a member of the Endeavor Users Group Board and a two-time recipient of the NJACRL/NJLA College and University Section's Technology Innovation Award. Edward earned his Masters of Library Service at Rutgers University.
Harrison Dekker is the Data Services Librarian at the University of California, Berkeley Library.
Linda Dempf is the Music & Media Librarian at The College of New Jersey.
She earned her MLS from Indiana University Bloomington in 2004, where she also earned her DM in music. She oversees the music and media collections and services at TCNJ and recently started using a wiki for internal communication among student workers and staff. She is an active member of the Music Library Association and has a variety of research interests, including women musicians, new music for the horn, and effective communication with library patrons when talking about music.
Tim Dennis is the Web and Data Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley Library.
Beth Evans is the Electronic Services Specialist at the Brooklyn College Library, CUNY. She earned her MLS at Queens College, CUNY in 1994. Beth's work at the Brooklyn College Library focuses on both electronic resources and electronic tools, and she considers the implementation of the MySpace project at the Brooklyn College Library to be an extension of the Library's earlier work to make itself more available to students and other users working in the online environment.
Harry Glazer is the communications director for the Rutgers University Libraries. He chairs the Libraries Marketing/PR group, oversees public events and writes/edits/publishes all high profile Libraries publications. Since Sept. 2006 he has been experimenting with Facebook, using the medium to promote Libraries resources, activities, and services among the student population at Rutgers.
Irene Herold is the Director of Mason Library at Keene State College, a public liberal arts college, in New Hampshire. Recently she has assumed a leadership role for technology issues to bring vision to the use of technology in Academic Affairs at Keene State College.
Rhonda Johnson is the Head of Access Services at Hostos Community College Library of the City University of New York.
Shannon Kealey is a Reference Associate specializing in health sciences at Coles Science Center at New York University's Bobst Library. Before joining NYU in May 2006, she worked as a Reference Assistant at the Health Sciences Library while pursuing her MLS at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Kate Lyons is a Reference & Information Technology Librarian at Hostos Community College Library of the City University of New York.
Heather Moulaison is Cataloging/Modern Languages Librarian at The College of New Jersey Library. Heather has presented and published on various library- and language-related topics. Her main scholarly areas of interest include new technologies in academic libraries, French information systems, and access to online information. Heather is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Rutgers University and teaches Cataloging there from time to time.
Jim Robertson works at the New Jersey Institute of Technology – New Jersey’s science and technology university. For the last six years, he was the Assistant University Librarian -- responsible for technology and innovation in the library. Recently, Jim was promoted to the Director of University Web Services, where he is leading the university through a website relaunch project and reports directly to his university’s president.
