Shelflisting

Call numbers are chronologically assigned accession numbers.

Before producing cataloging for any microform, a shelflist card must be prepared for all locations, a chronological number must be assigned, and the card must be filed in the proper place in the shelflist to reserve the number.

This card is the permanent shelflist record, and will not be replaced by a printed shelflist card.

See: Making Shelflist Cards.
