Placement of barcodes for AnnexA transfers

Without item records | With item records

When sending volumes currently without item records to AnnexA:
    Online
    1. Retrieve the MFHD record and attach an item record.
    Physical
    placement
    1. Put the barcode in the upper left hand corner of the front cover. Place the barcode as close to the left corner as possible. Do not cover a call number label.
    2. For languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, etc., place the barcode on the back cover, keeping the spine of the book to the left.
    3. Change the location on the t.p. verso to (AnnexA)
    4. Add an AnnexA location sticker to the book overlaying the old location if possible or placing it close to the call number label, either on the spine or the front cover.

    1. Retrieve the current item record, enter a new barcode and delete the old barcode.
    Physical
    Placement
    1. Cover the old barcode inside the back cover and any duplicates of the old barcode with a white label or draw a line through them with a broad black magic marker.
    2. Put the new barcode in the upper left hand corner of the front cover. Place the barcode as close to the left corner as possible. Do not cover a call number label.
    3. For languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, etc., place the barcode on the back cover, keeping the spine of the book to the left.
    4. Change the location on the t.p. verso to (AnnexA).
    5. Add an AnnexA location sticker to the book overlaying the old location if possible or placing it close to the call number label, either on the spine or the front cover.
