Documents Book Processing

This procedure can be used for materials that do not need any kind of payment

1. SEARCH VOYAGER

In Cataloging: Search by some combination of author and title.

If using non-headings searches, use Title (BIB) or Names (BIB)
If you are doing keyword searches, Search Builder is the suggested way of combing author and title keyword searches.

If your first search results in no matches, try a different index to be certain.

If the book is a serial, bookset, or is part of a series, you must check for a standing order in Acquisitions. Search for a PO using Bibliographic Info and searching for the series names as a title.

2. RLIN

A separate “preorder” search in RLIN for your book is NOT necessary.  You can do the search at the point of importing the record using the Z39.50 capabilities of Voyager.
