Purchase Orders for Combinations and Packages

1. Create a multi-line purchase order which includes all titles in the package or combination, including any which we do not retain. This may involve creating a brief, suppressed bibliographic records for discarded titles or for the “parent” title of a package or membership.  The “parent” title (which may be a subscription label like “IEEE all society periodical package” and not a bibliographic title at all) should be listed first on the order, and should carry the package price.

2. “Child” titles should be listed after the parent on the purchase order, and have a line item amount of 0.

3. If there is a fund split involved, the fund split must be applied to ALL lines on the purchase order. (Setting defaults may be in order here).

4. Create a purchase order level note such as: “Combined subscription for all titles listed” “Membership includes all titles listed”

5. Delete existing individual purchase orders which may have loaded from Notis. (This must be done by someone with the appropriate authority).
