Title Changes in Voyager
In order to do a title change in Voyager, you need to do the following:
- Find or import the new bibliographic record
- Create the new purchase order and add a component
- Process issue(s) in hand
Cataloging module
- Search in Cataloging for a matching record for the new title. If you
find there is already a record for the new title, use ALT R-Q
to see if there is a purchase order attached. If so, the piece may be
checked in on the new order. If not, consult supervisor.
If there is no record in Cataloging for the new title, go to step
2.
- Use native RLIN or Voyagers remote
search capability to search RLIN and/or OCLC for copy for the new
title. If found, import the record
into Voyager . Create a holdings record to match that of the former
title.
