Voyager Acquisitions — Serials Check-in

III. Claiming (continued)

If you are doing claiming maintenance, from the Serials History screen, simply search for your check-in record. This automatically brings up receipt history. Again, you have the same four tabs: Receipt History, Claims History, Problem History, and Payment History. If you click on the Problem History tab you can move issues from the problems list to the claims list. You can also update and cancel claims from the Claims History tab.

Let’s claim an issue of the Journal of Beckett Studies.

From the Check-in screen, search the title, highlight the issue to be claimed.

Press Accept; this will take you to another Serials Check-in Receive Mark screen.

Click the red box on the line where the issue is displayed

If "Claim" is not showing in the drop down box, click the triangle and highlight the word "Claim"

The Mark button activates

Click the "Mark" button

Click the back button to get to the main Check-in screen

You can then click the History button

Your issue will be on the Problems list

To generate a claim, highlight the issue and click the Generate Claim button.

Click okay, or add a note to the vendor and then click okay.

Your issue in now claimed and is on the Claims list under Claim History.

Now you can check in a record at your terminal using the sample title you’ve been given.
