Collection Development Policies

What are collection development policies?

Libraries select and buy books, journals, videos, DVDs, statistical data, CDs, manuscripts, and other materials for their institutions and for the institution's members. As a major academic research library, Princeton devotes significant staff and funds to building its collections. The policies presented below outline the goals and practices for various library collections.
