Accessing Library resources from off campus or remote locations
*Most of the Library's electronic resources are available to users from anywhere off campus and from any location, including foreign countries. OIT's VPN (Virtual Private Network) service is the recommended method for remote access.
- VPN (Virtual Private Network) set up instructions:
http://www.princeton.edu/vpn. -
Please note that this service works for most but not all resources. Use the EZproxy service
if you are not using your own computer (off-campus libraries, Internet cafes, etc) -
EZproxy *new*
The EZproxy service does not require any configuration. It can be utilized directly from our Articles and Databases list. Off-campus users will be routed to the requested resource through the EZproxy service when a resource requires authentication. If the EZproxy services produces an error, use the University VPN as an alternative.
Resources marked "Library Web Computer" do not work through EZproxy, as these Library Resources are available only from designated Library Web Computer workstations physically located within the Library premises.
To report an EZproxy problem, contact lsupport@princeton.edu.
