10.  Moy Moy.
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1960.

This delightful toy store belonged to Gim Fong (1831-2005). Fong was an artist in cloisonné enamel, a member of one of the original Cantonese families who founded Los Angeles's China Town, one of the longest tenured businessmen in the Chinese-American community, and its unofficial historian. The main character Moy Moy (little sister) was modeled on Fong's daughter Mary, who still lives in Los Angeles. For this picture book, Politi sketched children on Chung King Road, where Mr. Fong's shop was located, and around China Town during Chinese New Year and Moon Festival celebrations.
