Leo Politi

12.  The Poinsettia.
Palm Desert, CA: Best West Publications, 1967.

In this tribute to Los Angeles holiday traditions, Politi recorded joyful scenes around the city. Here he drew a rapt group of Latino, African-American, Asian and Anglo children watching a puppet show without calling attention to its diversity. Groups of children were the subjects of murals Politi painted in the children's rooms in the Castelar Elementary School in China Town and the South Pasadena Public Library.
