Consists of: original pencil and pen-and-wash travel sketches Henderson made during a trip through Virginia and Tennessee in 1856-1857; seven small wood engravings; and a file of Henderson ephemera. The ephemera file includes: four photocopies of Henderson's signature; two versions of a 1940 Henderson biography written by the Jefferson County Historical Society; a copy of Virginia Cavalcade magazine featuring Henderson's illustrations; two listings of the Henderson works that are in the Graphic Arts Collection with a one-page description of the materials; a 1951 biographical letter from the New York Historical Society regarding Henderson; and a 1953 letter from the Virginia State Library regarding the Henderson drawings in the Graphic Arts Collection.
