Welcome to the Mendel Music Library

This library holds books, scores, microfilms, and sound and video recordings focused on all aspects of classical, popular, and world music, jazz, and dance, and offers playing and viewing equipment for all media formats.

Attention: Using the above search for "Scores," "Audio," and "Video" will only return items held in the Mendel Music Library

Please be aware that Mendel Music Library has many items that are available in electronic format or are held in offsite locations.  If you are having problems getting results, try using the "Books+" search.

Mendel Music Library Closed Labor Day Weekend

Mendel Music Library will be closed all three days of the Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, September 5 - Monday, September 7th).  We will open Tuesday, September 8th at 8:30 am.

New E-Resource

Princeton faculty, students and staff can now access Met Opera on Demand!

New to Met Opera on Demand: Lehár's The Merry Widow

Met Opera on Demand: Student Access offers Princeton University users instant access to more than 500 full-length Met performances, including stunning HD videos from the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series of movie theater transmissions, classic telecasts from the 1970s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, and hundreds of radio broadcasts dating back to 1935.  All videos include English subtitles, and recent HD videos include subtitles in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and/or Swedish.  New titles are added every month, with most of the Met’s Live in HD programs coming online a few months after their live transmission date.  Every opera includes an English synopsis, with synopses in multiple languages available for many operas.
