Special visit: Last week, we enjoyed a day-long visit from Stanford's Phil Schreur. Phil is the PI for the LD4P grant, and has been engaged in exploring the potential for linked data in libraries for several years. He was kind enough to speak with our professional catalogers group, and to entertain our questions and ideas.

Roadshow: This week, to help raise awareness about linked data amongst colleagues and to stimulate ideas for its use here at Princeton, Joyce, core group in toe, gave an introductory presentation at a meeting of the Collection Development Dept. We're calling it a roadshow presentation, because it will be repeated for colleagues in Special Collections (and possibly others) in the near future.

LETC presentations: Also this week, Joyce and Peter again presented The Future of Library Catalog Data: a View from Technical Services to any and all interested library staff. Four sessions of this talk were sponsored by the Library Education and Training Committee.

Tools: We are just beginning to glimpse the possibility of using tools for cataloging and discovery with some pilot installations. Updates to come.
