Sept. 25, 2019 This year, Princeton University Library will pilot the My Princeton Oral History Project, an initiative to create a space for students who feel left out of the dominant Princeton narrative by capturing and sharing their unique experiences through recorded interviews. The project aims to capture students' experiences in and outside of Princeton, guided through questions such as why they chose Princeton, what were their expectations for the University, and what has brought them joy or stress during their time here. During the project's pilot year, the University Archives, housed in Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library, will host a series of oral history trainings and events with campus partners to educate and empower students to interview one another and preserve their legacy. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend one of the following sessions to learn more: My Princeton Oral History Trainingsat Mudd Library, Harlan Room Wednesday, Nov. 6, noon to 1 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 7, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.Friday, Nov. 8, 11 a.m. to noonIf unable to attend a training session, students may still participate in the project.
