After hosting a workshop led by Dave Hansen, Authors Alliance Executive Director, in the spring of 2024, Princeton University Library (PUL) joined the Authors Alliance Partner Program the fall of 2024.

Established to foster close collaboration between academic authors and their universities, the partner program supports its members by offering advocacy and resources for developing a “more open and equitable information ecosystem.”

With the help of the Authors Alliance legal and publishing experts, PUL will develop new workshops, talks, and resource pages to support Princeton University’s authors navigate the open-access publishing landscape, contracts, fair use, and more.

“PUL is proud to support the fantastic work that the Authors Alliance does on behalf of the academic community,” said Matthew Kopel, Open Access, and Intellectual Property Librarian. “We’re also leveraging their expertise as we plan to empower Princeton authors to give new life to their academic publications. Authors Alliance staff members Dave, Yuanxiao Xu, and Eric Harbseon are a vital part of the ever-changing conversation about scholarship, author rights, and serving a greater public good.”
