Ariel Ackerly joined Princeton University Library in 2021. As Makerspace Specialist, Ariel coordinates PUL Makerspace operations and programming. Before coming to Princeton, Ariel was Makerspace Associate at the University of Georgia, where she designed and facilitated outreach programs and educational workshops about gender in virtual reality, hand embroidery, electronic textiles, laser cutting, and 3D printing. She has over six years of experience working in academic libraries and as an organizer of community-based, multimedia arts events.
