Expansion of the Zhongguo fang zhi ku

February 5, 2015. The already previously available Zhongguo fang zhi ku database (from Airusheng = Erudition) has doubled in size: it now includes 4,000 of the estimated 10,000 extant pre-1949 local gazetteers. This database is fully text-searchable.

Users should note that the intermediate page shows a red heji 合集, combined, icon, as well as separate icons for each of the scheduled five parts of the database (of which parts 3-5 have not yet appeared.) One should only click on that combined icon; clicking on the separate parts will result in a note stating “not purchased.”

The database is at http://library.princeton.edu/resource/5086. There are limited concurrent users; please try again after some time if not available at a particular time. As with all Airusheng/Erudition databases, check first the radio button of your desired database, then click on login, and the icon of the database. Not all databases shown are available!
