Translations of the Peking Gazette Online, 1799-1912
July 28, 2017. Princeton users have now access to the Translations of the Peking Gazette Online, a set of English translations of official edicts and memorials from the Qing dynasty dating from the Macartney Mission in 1793 to 1912. The translations are from contemporary English-language sources such as the Indo Chinese Gleaner, the China Mail or the North China Herald, and ultimately go back to items published in the Peking Gazette (Jing bao). It is not a collection of the Jing bao themselves. Arrangement is chronological. Access is through http://library.princeton.edu/resource/28269.
