MBC Archive, Korean television archive

Princeton users now have permanent access to MBC Archive, a database of a Korean television program.

This collection includes videos, audio files, and images produced by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC = 문화방송) since 1961.

The approximately 200,000 items included in the database cover a wide range of TV programs, including daily news programs (except TV dramas), radio programs, and related images.

Items can be searched by keyword, date, title, etc. or browsed by category in Korean.

For example, the following video clip of an East Asian Studies class broadcast in 2003 was found by a search with “프린스턴” (=Princeton) as the keyword.
