Blue Mountain Project
The Princeton University Library is pleased to announce the awarding of a NEH grant to support the creation of an open-access, research collection of avant-garde art, music and literary periodicals, 1848-1923, named after Vasily Kandinsky's painting Blue Mountain (Der blaue Berg, 1908-09, Guggenheim Museum, New York). Rare material from Firestone's Department of Special Collections, Marquand Library, and the Mendel Music Library will be included in the project. Please visit the project's website, Facebook page, or subscribe via Twitter (@bmtnproj) for more information and updates. A conference will be held in Fall 2013 on various ways of using digitized periodicals like these, and the BMP Manager, Natasha Ermolaev, has an office in Marquand, on A Floor (Room A63), the former SARP, or Marquand permanent reserve storage room. She may be contacted at bluemntn@princeton.edu .
