Marquand is OPEN in Firestone

Marquand Library has moved to two spaces on the C Floor of Firestone as of March 22, 2021. Down the hall from the entrance to Special Collections, you will find two bright and airy reading rooms for Marquand: the Scribner and West Atriums. Hours will be M-F, 9-5 until August 30, at which point our hours will revert to pre-pandemic, more extensive hours. Seat reservations are required via the Study-Browse service. Marquand’s collection remains non-circulating and only available for consultation in these two rooms. Food and drink may be left in designated bins, and a drink in a closed container may be consumed in Firestone proper, outside of Marquand's enclosed spaces.

All collection items need to be requested via the library catalog. Marquand stacks items are in the midst of being re-located to a storage facility in Upstate New York, so some call number ranges will be unavailable for a week at a time between March 22 and April 30. See our moving timeline for more information. Library users will be notified by email when items are available for consultation in Firestone. Marquand rare items will ultimately be available for consultation in Special Collections, and very large volumes in the General Collection will be requested and serviced there (i.e. Folios and Elephant Folios).

See the Floor Plan link on our website for more information about the spaces and how each may be utilized. On-demand scanning services will continue for all eligible users.
