"NIH Draft Policy for Data Management and Sharing," information and feedback meeting on Dec. 16

The National Institutes of Health have proposed significant changes to their data management and sharing policy and are seeking public comment. The proposed changes include changing submission requirements for data management and data sharing plans and changing compliance and enforcement of these plans.

This informational meeting is for researchers who are impacted by NIH policy – the proposed policy changes will be presented and then open to discussion and questions. Comments from researchers about the proposed policy at this meeting will be taken into account in Princeton’s response to this draft policy, and researchers will also be shown how they may submit comments directly to NIH before the January 10 deadline.

Monday, Dec. 16, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Lewis Library, Room 121

Discussion leaders:
Dr. Wind Cowles, Director of the Princeton Research Data Service
Wind has over 15 years of experience in research and research policy, having been an associate professor at a major research university and an NIH scientific review officer before joining Princeton this past April.

Elizabeth Adams, Director of the Office of Research and Project Administration
