    All first year students and their families are welcome to join us in Firestone Library, on Friday and Saturday, October 14th and 15th for cider and donuts, tours of the library, and a chance to chat with librarians, staff and current students. The Open House will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on both days.

    All library printers are now managed by the "Papercut" print accounting system. This system helps reduce the amount of paper wasted with accidental printing. When a document is printed to a Papercut-managed queue, the document will not print until it is released at any of the PRINT RELEASE STATIONS in the library.     The Lewis Library will have a video series, Behavioral Economics: When Psychology and Economics Collide, hosted by Professor Scott Huettel, Ph.D. Duke University on Fridays Noon to 1 in Lewis 225 from September 16th to December 16th.

    The library will be celebrating Constitution Day 2016 with a display of documents from the library's collection related to the United States Constitution, its amendments, and its interpretation.  Stop by to view these documents, discuss their significance, and take home a copy of a pocket Constitution: Friday, September 16, 11am-2pm.

    Initially released as a beta service in the spring of 2016, this new catalog is the result of a two year effort to improve and eventually replace our twenty-year-old Main Catalog and incorporate the best features of contemporary library search technology. The catalog is available at and is also directly available from the main search box on under the heading “New Catalog”.

    The Princeton University Library is pleased to announce that the major portion of the Toni Morrison Papers (C1491), part of the Library’s permanent collections since 2014, is now open for research. The papers are located in the Manuscripts Division, Department of Special Collections, in the Harvey S. Firestone Memorial Library.
