The students of the Naval school organized a "triumph" or evocation for the French Navy through the ages. Dressed in flattering outfits of former sailors, the students reconstructed all of the old fleet. Here is the galley with rowers chained to their bench on the edge of the overseer. For both the sailor of the ancient caravel, and the modern sailor, the motto has remained the same, "Honor and Country."
