Abstract:
When they learned that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, the crowds came to meet his coming because they'd heard talk about the miracles that he'd performed. But one man stood apart, jealous of this triumph; it was Judas, who had the last name Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles. "Hosanna to the son of David! King of Israel! Blessed be he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna!" Reunited in the great hall of the prince of the priests, who was called Ciaphus, the great priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were holding counsel on how best to capture Jesus by ruse and put him to death, but they dreaded facing the people. So Judas came to them and he said "What would you like to give me, and I will bring him to you." Hearing this, they were overjoyed, and they promised to give him thirty pieces of silver.
