The Engineering Library, located in adjacent to the Lewis Library on the A Floor of Fine Hall, supports the research and education mission of the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) and its affiliated programs and centers. Through a physical layout that flows between spaces and the resources it offers, the library fosters the perfect environment for collaborative work.

The Princeton University Library Makerspace is an informal learning space, open to faculty, students, and staff from all disciplines.

The Map and Geospatial Information Center is located in the Lewis Library’s Fine Hall Wing. The Center provides access to paper maps, geospatial data, digital maps and geographic information systems (GIS) services. In addition, we provide ongoing reference, research consultation and instruction to all levels of user experience in our facility or in your office or classroom.

Fine Collaboration Hub

The Fine Collaboration Hub is a department neutral library space that can be reserved for presentations, workshops, collaborative work, club meetings, study groups, and more.

The Engineering Library features a variety of quiet, private, and collaborative study options, including 3 study rooms and 4 single person booths.

Games and Kits

Located on the A floor of the Fine Hall Wing across from the circulation desk, more than 50 board games and learning kits are available, including classics as well as newer titles.

Material Samples Collection

The Material Samples Collection is intended to facilitate a foundational understanding and appreciation for basic materials used in design and construction, as well as to promote research insight from exposure to more complex and innovative materials. Samples in the collection have been curated by Material ConneXion.

Engineering Collection

The Engineering Library provides a curated collection of electronic and print materials to support the unique teaching and research needs of the SEAS. Users have access to thousands of electronic journals, ebooks, and databases through prominent engineering society publishers as well as specialized resources such as video instruction, technical standards, entrepreneurship support, and chemical/materials properties databases.

Computing & Software

The Engineering Library includes publicly accessible Windows computers. iMacs with additional software are also available.

A Bloomberg terminal and access to the McGraw Digital Learning Lab software are available on the A floor.

All computers are connected to the Print Release Stations. Only black and white printing is available in the Engineering Library.
