All Library locations will be closed on Commencement Day, May 16. Congratulations Class of 2021!
The Supplementary Catalog contains items cataloged before 1980. Records are arranged alphabetically with authors, titles, and subjects interfiled. This catalog has been largely replaced by the online Catalog.
For items in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean cataloged before 1983, consult the card catalogs in the East Asian Library.
For sound recordings cataloged before 1989, consult the card catalog in the Mendel Library. Although most of Princeton University Library's book and journal holdings are represented in the Main and Supplementary Catalogs, other forms of materials may not be included there. Consult Library staff if you do not find special format materials in the main or supplemental catalogs.
Formats such as sound recordings, maps, prints, posters, technical reports, theses (other than Princeton Ph.D. theses), journal articles, and pamphlets are generally cataloged locally. If a search of the Main or Supplementary Catalogs yields unsatisfactory results, you may need to consult a local or special catalog to find records representing the materials you seek. Please consult a reference librarian at any reference desk in Firestone Library or in a subject branch library.
