 3xx fields

The use of any 3xx field in RDA authority records is optional. The Arabic NACO Funnel encourages members to supply at least a 375 (gender) and 377 (language) when the information is readily available. When supplying any of the 3xx fields, follow the guidelines provided in Z1. Below are guidelines on some specific topics which occur in cataloging Arabic material and some general examples.

Special guidelines:

370 (Associated place)

We may use "Palestine," "Gaza Strip," and "West Bank" in subfields a, b, e, or f, but NOT in subfield c.

368 (Other attributes)

We may record non-English titles which appear with the names in this field:
