Serial citations -- general information

Source citations of serials generally follow the same pattern as monographs, with one major exception: in place of imprint date, the date of the issue (i.e., chronological designation) is recorded:

670 Title proper, date of issue: |b t.p. or other 1st location (data)

As usual, the information which follows in subfield b is supposed to justify the form of the heading and any cross references.

See sections linked to at the left for more details, exceptions, and examples.
