Series Problems

Problems discovered in the course of cataloging a work should be referred to the team leader for resolution. Team leaders may pass on questions or problems to the Authorities Committee.

Conflicts between a series used in our catalog and an LC AACR2 established series do not in and of themselves constitute a problem. (These conflicts may or may not be noted on a series authority record.) Simply follow Princeton practice and ignore the conflict unless you feel the need to consult your team leader.

Conflicts between two or more established series in our catalog should always be reported to the team leader, who may resolve the problem or pass it on to the Authorities Committee.
