Series Verification -- General Remarks

Series verification is a process of ensuring that we have properly cited the series statement from our item, of determining the series heading we have formulated for the series, and of checking that we are following the same analysis, tracing and classification decisions made for the series.

The result of proper verification is that traced series are all retrievable in our catalog under one heading, and that all items for which common classification was desired are all shelved together.
