and funds Serials Miscellaneous
1. Has an order for a specific monograph (serial single order,
serial standing order, or subscription) been placed?
- In the Cataloging module, search for your monograph or serial using
bibliographic information.
- Click on the Hierarchy button on the toolbar. A call number in the
holdings record indicates that the title has been received and catatoged.
Otherwise there will be an order status.
- Alternatively, from the Cataloging module, search for your monograph
or serial using bibliographic information. On the menu bar, click
on Record, then View Line Items in Acquisition (or use the keyboard
shortcut Alt/r/q). This will bring up the Line Item Record, indicating
the number of copies ordered, received, and invoiced. This method
must be used for serial standing orders or single orders for back
issues of a cataloged serial.
2. When will a specific order arrive?
- There is no specific "expected date" field for monographic orders.
There may be some notes, however, in the order record.
- From the Cataloging module, search for your monograph or serial
using bibliographic information.
- On the menu bar, click on Record, then View Line Items in Acquisitions
(or use the keyboard shortcut Alt/r/q). This will bring up
the Line Item Record.
- Check under the Notes tab, where there may be some information concerning
expected due dates.
3. Will the system notify me when an ordered item is received?
-
The Voyager system, per se, will not notify you when an item is
received. However, if you request that Firestone circulation notify
you about the receipt of a monograph, they will put a note in the
record that will pop up when the item is received. Circulation staff
will put a hold on the item and you will be notified of its availabilty.
4. Where is the purchase order number of a specific title?
- In the Cataloging module, search for your monograph or serial using
bibliographic information.
- On the menu bar, click on Record, then View Line Items in Acquisitions
(or use the keyboard shortcut Alt/r/q). This will bring up the Line
Item Record.
- Click on the Order tab to see the purchase order number.
5.How can I access purchase order information from the cataloguing
module?
- From the Cataloging module, search for your monograph or serial
using bibliographic information.
- On the menu bar, click on Record, then View Line Items in Acquisitions
(or use the keyboard shortcut Alt/r/q). This will bring up the Line
Item Record.
- Click on the Order tab. The purchase order can be accessed through
the Order tab (click on ellipsis by purchase order number). Other
information from the purchase order is available in the line item
display tabs such as Notes, Price, etc.
