Latin American Literature
Use to retrieve collections of papers of Spanish-writing authors. Included are many of the leading literary figures of 20th-century Latin America, representing such diverse countries as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and Peru. In addition to manuscript drafts of literary works, such as novels and poems, the collections are rich in personal correspondence with other contemporary writers, critics, and scholars.

Manuscripts
Princeton University has extensive holdings of literary correspondence, manuscripts, and other papers of contemporary Latin American authors, critics, and other intellectuals, with special emphasis on literature since "the Boom." The Manuscripts Division holdsmore than 70 author archives and related collections, including the papers of Claribel Alegría, Reinaldo Arenas, José Bianco, Guillermo Cabrera Infante, Julio Cortázar, José Donoso, Carlos Fuentes, Juan García Ponce, Elena Garro, Margo Glantz, Jorge Ibargüengoitia, Vicente Leñero, Sergio Pitol, Emir Rodríguez Monegal, Alejandra Pizarnik, SergioRamírez, Juan José Saer, and Mario Vargas Llosa (Nobel Prize in Literature, 2010), and Saúl Yurkievich. Archives of Latin American Writers and Intellectuals in the Manuscripts Division: Literary Archives is an online listing of collections, with links to finding aids. Areas of research supported include cinema, publishing, the internationalization of Latin American culture, the economics of culture, politics, history, translation, censorship, literary analysis, and gender studies, among many topics.
