Princeton University Archives Donor Agreement Form

By completing this form and pressing "Submit," you, the donor, agree to the following:

  1. Authority: You certify that you are authorized to donate these records to the Princeton University Archives and that the information below is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  2. Property Rights: Upon transfer to the Department of Special Collections, this gift becomes the property of Princeton University.
  3. Copyright: Any copyright which the donor possesses in this material passes to Princeton University.
  4. DispositionThe Department of Special Collections may dispose of duplicates and transfer printed materials for consideration in other University collections when appropriate.
Donor Information
The University Archives will use this information only to allow the University Librarian to mail you a formal acknowledgement letter for your gift.
If you are a Princeton University graduate, or if you are related to a Princeton University graduate, please list your class year, or your relationship to the graduate and their class year. For example, "Class of 1999," "Ph.D. 2005," "Parent of 1986," or "Spouse of 1960," etc.
If you are submitting records on behalf of an organization, please record the name in this field.
Archival Information
Name of organization or person who created the records.
For example, 4 crates of print photographs, 6 boxes of papers, 8 gigabytes of electronic records. If you have digital records, please also fill out the Technical Information section below. If you have paper records, please attach an Inventory below.
Provide 2-3 sentences describing the subject(s) of the records as well as how the records were used (e.g., used by an entire office or organization, used exclusively by the board, used by the general public).
This field will inform us of how to handle nonarchival or duplicate items.
If materials should be open to the public immediately, select today's date. Please note that the final restriction length will be determined by the University Archivist in consultation with the donor.
