Princeton users now have trial access to Sin Wan Pao 新聞報, 1893-1949

Along with Shen Bao 申報, the early Shanghai newspaper Xin wen bao (Sin Wan Pao 新聞報), also known as "The News”, was one of the most widely circulating Chinese newspapers in Shanghai during the Republican period.
The database provides full access to digital copies of all issues from 1893 to 1949 and includes articles, advertisements and images. It is part of Shanghai Library’s Quanguo baokan suoyin 全国报刊索引.
Articles in this database can be searched on the article title level, but the database is not full-text searchable.
