Princeton Chinese Archival Handbook Collection update

Princeton, February 9, 2024:

Over the last years the East Asian Library at Princeton has built the largest known collection of Chinese archival handbooks 档案馆指南. These handbooks give detailed descriptions on archival collections within Chinese archives. The geographic interface to the collection was recently updated and now supports discovery of more than 300 handbooks from the national to the county level. The interface links to the individual catalog record for each handbook. For ease of use the library has scanned and makes available the table of contents and archival fond list 全宗表 of these handbooks for online browsing and download.
