  • William S. Dix Papers

    The William S. Dix Papers document Dix's professional life outside of his career as Princeton's University Librarian, with the bulk of the documentation focusing on Dix's service as a member of the United States National Commission for UNESCO and the Association of Research Libraries. The papers primarily contain correspondence; however, reports, meeting minutes, and articles are also included.Please see series descriptions in the contents list for additional information about individual series.

  • William R. Weeks Papers

    The files contain research Weeks did on the earliest beginnings of the College of New
    Jersey, now known as Princeton University, with particular attention to the College's
    first endowment. This research includes typewritten copies of New Jersey Archives
    relating to the College, typewritten reprints of various editions of The First
    History of the College (published in 1752-4) and The Diary of Samuel Davies (1753-5),
    Records of the Presbyterian Church, and Princeton Board of Trustees meeting minutes
    along with papers belonging to Jonathan Belcher (governor of New Jersey), and Nathan
    Fitzrandolph. Also part of the files is Weeks' general correspondence with numerous
    university and public libraries concerning materials he requested. Although the bulk
    of these letters are dated 1896-1897, Weeks apparently sent subsequent correspondence
    since one letter is dated 1901.

  • William K. Selden Collection on the History of Health Services at Princeton University

    The documents include virtually all annual reports of the health service and the ladies' auxiliary, as well as copies of many clippings and other reports relevant to the history of the health service. The more recent material also includes much information on employees, budgets and health-related materials provided to students.

  • William K. Selden Collection on Eating Clubs

    The collection contains primarily clippings, arranged chronologically, from The Daily Princetonian as well as clippings from Princeton Alumni Weekly and Princeton Weekly Bulletin documenting the activities of Princeton University's Eating Clubs. Topics found within this collection include the University's Bicker policy and women's rights in the Eating Club system. Relevant reports, such as the Report on Undergraduate Residential Life, and personal correspondence are also found.

  • William G. Bowen Collection on the Federal Government and Princeton University

    Consists of notes and research materials compiled by William G. Bowen for use in his study The Federal Government and Princeton University, a report on the complex funding and research relationships between the two institutions. The notes reflect interviews Bowen conducted with faculty and staff. A copy of his final report and a paper published by the U.S. Congress on a similar subject are also included.
